In my preparations for Sunday I came upon an interesting set of words in English that come from the same Greek word-family.
Eucharist, Eulogy, and Euphoria.
Just something I found interesting.
now the challenge: put them all in the same sentence in a way that express the meaning of each =)
Hmm…I looked up the words in my dictionary and it commented that eucharist etymologically means “thanksgiving” and is derived from the Greek word “eukharistos,” which means “grateful.”
Eulogy meant “high praise. a speech lauding a person (esp. one deceased).
hmmm….
I accept.
The institution of the Eucharist may produce a transcendent euphoria as it celebrates the unique eulogy of the crucified and resurrected Son of God.
